The “9th THz Days” and the annual meeting of the GDR Nano Tera MIR will be held in Dunkerque (Dunkirk, France), easily accessible with TGV connections to France and Europe. This harbour town centrally located between England, Belgium and Germany is an ideal place to welcome students, academics and industrial partners to discuss the latest developments in the field of Terahertz related Science and Technology.

In addition to the traditional scientific exchanges a special session will be devoted to start-up companies working in the THz field. With the help of SATT Nord, several presentations of projects at different levels of maturity will be used to illustrate these activities. A demonstration of laboratory experiments with the support of industrial partners is also expected.
The « French THz days » was initiated in 1998 with a first edition in Paris. The following editions have been held in Dunkerque (2002), Aussois (2005), Bombannes (2007), Villeneuve d’Ascq (2009), La Grande Motte (2011), Cargèse (2013) and Arêches-Beaufort (2015).
